A site we recommend for valuing your real estate is http://zillow.com. We suggest you take off at least 10% for broker commissions, incentives and preparing the property for sale.
For valuing your automobiles we recommend http://kbb.com. We usually suggest estimating between the private party and wholesale price.

We highly recommend financial management software to manager your budget and expenses. Mint.com is free and you can run their live demo here. Quicken Starter Edition is around $30 retail and can probably be picked up cheaper at a store like Wal-mart of Best Buy. We also have some online spreadsheets we can use for monthly and annual budgeting. These online spreadsheets require manually entering your expenses. We find our clients have more success tracking their expenses if they can be automatically downloaded from their bank. This is why we prefer mint.com or Quicken.
